DERBISOLAR
The “2 in 1” solution
DERBISOLAR is the result of the exclusive combination between a very long lasting roof membrane (DERBISOLAR BASE®) and amorphous photovoltaic cells.
The DERBISOLAR BASE Membrane
DERBISOLAR BASE is a technological innovation from the DERBIGUM® research department.
Like other DERBIGUM products is the DERBISOLAR BASE composed of a blend made of a specific bitumen modified by noble polymers (high-grade APP also called TPO). Thus, the membrane provides a perfect protection of your building and its contents against water damage and a 30-year longevity.
The exclusive acryl coating of DERBISOLAR BASE guarantees an optimal grip of more than 20 years between the membrane and the photovoltaic cells. Thanks to the cold adhesive placement method, fire risk is highly reduced during the placement.
The DERBISOLAR photovoltaic modules
DERBISOLAR produces energy thanks to flexible a-Si modules, which differentiate themselves from the rigid “crystalline” solar panels (c-Si). In real use conditions, DERBISOLAR provides a better performance than the crystalline panels (poor light conditions, shadows or spotting).
To which type of roof is DERBISOLAR dedicated to?
Thanks to its very low weight is DERBISOLAR an ideal solution for every flat roof without water stagnation.
The “2 in 1” solution
An optimised energy production and the reliability of a perfect waterproofing solution, combined to a 20 years guarantee on the products and the laying*. A flexible arrangement: the modules are placed on the DERBISOLAR BASE Membrane following client’s needs. The placement needs no perforation of the waterproof roof membrane and the modules integrate themselves discretely in the landscape.

Several advantages
 |
DERBISOLAR integrates itself perfectly on the roof membrane and remains invisible from the ground, even on a curved surface. |
 |
No roof drilling is needed to lay the DERBISOLAR panels. |
 |
DERBISOLAR is unbreakable: cells are capsulated in plastic instead of glass. They are long lasting and reliable. |
 |
DERBISOLAR is light and flexible: its elements have a minimal influence on the load-bearing structure (weight of the cells: 3,5 kg/m2) |
 |
DERBISOLAR doesn’t project any shadow on the roof; the surface is well optimised. |
 |
Thanks to its “triple-junction” technology has DERBISOLAR a better performance under weak sunlight conditions. |
 |
DERBISOLAR is less sensible to shadow: the Bypass diodes of each cell balance the lay production when under shadow. |
 |
As DERBISOLAR is placed laying on your roof, its performance is not much influenced by the roof orientation. |
