Our method

Developing a good energy concept for a building means finding equilibrium between reinforced insulation, compactness, passive solar gains, thermal inertia, thermal comfort, interior-air quality, energy production and the cost of investment.

Our energy audit gives an overview of:

Our method

A complete energy audit of your building by an independent consultancy. This audit takes the whole building, its different parameters and the potential synergies between them into account.

In order to better estimate the impact of these measures, buildings are modelled using appropriate software and their dynamic thermal behaviour is simulated for a given meteorological year.

Each of these profiles defines the internal heat gains, the ventilation options as well as the targeted comfort levels. The energy demand and the comfort level are determined for every moment of a given period of time. Technical installations are also introduced in a model and the heat they transmit to the building is accounted for the simulation.

Thus, different combinations of energetic solutions can be objectively compared in terms of energy consumption and comfort level.
