New building

Build for a long time, not just for 10 years

The project

Technical school Esch/Alzette, Luxembourg

Roof surface: flat roof 5,000 m², garden roof 5,500 m²

The challenge

The shape of the available property, located along an expressway, determined the choice of the type of building (a long rectangular concept 260 m in length). The idea was to have a very luminous and welcoming building.

The DERBIGUM solution

All the flat roof areas visible from the upper stories were done in green roofing. The non-visible roof areas held technical equipment. Part of the thermal requirement is met through solar collectors.
