The materials and application processes needed to replace a roof represent a significant amount of energy and resources. A Derbigum roofing system has proven to stand the test of time. In fact, some systems have achieved 30+ years of service. 

An unsurfaced Derbigum roofing system allows a unique opportunity for a complete re-cover without the expense and environmental impact of a roof tear-off. The smooth surface provides an excellent base for the next roofing membrane while maintaining the integrity of the entire system including insulation.

The re-cover program not only makes sense for the environment but also for the pocketbook.  Proper planning in the initial design stage will provide the owner the opportunity achieve up to 60 years of service from their Derbigum system.

Products such as Permastic allow for a low VOC and low odor installation. DerbiBrite is another innovation that provides high reflectivity and high emissivity to reduce energy consumption with an added environmental benefit of PH Neutral water run-off.
